Biography

Dr. Lancashire’s research takes place at the intersection of computing technology and the humanities. He is the editor of the online Early Modern English Dictionaries Database, The Lexicons of Early Modern English, and Representative Poetry Online. He is currently on leave with a Killam Research Fellowship to write a book on the making of Early Modern English lexis. Dr. Lancashire’s theoretical work on cybertextuality draws together book history, computer-assisted text analysis, cybernetics, and cognitive psychology. He is the senior Principal Investigator of the TAPoR network at Toronto.
